In the centenary year of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning – Institution’s Innovation Council (SSSIHL-IIC) proudly announces MEGATHON 2026, a national innovation initiative inviting India’s problem-solvers to create solutions for the country’s most critical challenges.
MEGATHON 2026 is more than a hackathon—it is a structured pathway that transforms ideas into real-world impact.
Purpose of MEGATHON 2026
India faces pressing challenges across healthcare, energy, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. Addressing these issues requires innovation that is practical, scalable, and guided by strong values.
MEGATHON 2026 provides a national platform for:
- Students, researchers, innovators, and startups
- Collaborative problem-solving and mentorship
- Development of solutions aligned with national priorities
- Deployment of innovations that benefit communities
The MEGATHON Innovation Journey
Participants will follow a clear, four-stage process:
1. Select a Problem Statement
Choose from officially published problem statements focused on areas such as:
- Rural healthcare access
- Clean and renewable energy
- Environmental protection
- Agricultural transformation
2. Regional Hackathons
Teams will compete in regional hackathons across India, working with mentors from academia, industry, and policy institutions.
3. National Showcase at Prasanthi Nilayam
Shortlisted teams will present their solutions at the National Showcase held at Prasanthi Nilayam, highlighting innovations with national relevance.
4. Solution Deployment
Promising solutions will be supported for real-world implementation, ensuring that innovation leads to tangible societal impact.
